Camelford has a range of amenities, but there is not a supermarket in the town, meaning residents need to travel to do a larger food shop: a 22-mile round trip to Wadebridge or 27-mile round trip to Bodmin.
A new supermarket a few minutes’ walk from the town would benefit the town and its residents, providing more choice, reducing journeys on the roads and creating new jobs in the town.
This store would be a significant investment into the local economy and create around 100 jobs for the local community.
